Karekare is a rural coastal settlement located on Auckland's west coast, nestled between the Waitakere Ranges and a stunning black sand surf beach. With approximately 320 permanent residents, it offers a sense of wildness and tranquility, yet is only 45 minutes from Auckland's CBD.

Nearby Piha (7 km away) provides additional amenities, and full shopping facilities are available in Henderson or Titirangi Village, just 23 km away, and 37 km to Auckland's central business district.
